Ben and Shira each keep reading logs, however, I realized the other day that they do not feel a deep sense of accomplishment when they read text lists. I am now keeping an additional copy of their reading logs on their reading blogs and am including pictures of each book.

Seeing the long list of pictures of the books they have read definitely  aids in their sense of accomplishment.

at their age, reading is still a fair bit of work and I want to do everything I can to help them learn to love reading.   Feeling a sense of accomplishment helps to engender a love of reading (or so I think).
